A minimum of two participants must sign up for the package together to receive the adjusted fee. To ensure quality care during antenatal meetings, a maximum of four participants can sign up together.
The package includes three antenatal meetings, continuous labour/birth support, and a postnatal visit. All antenatal meetings are shared; this means that we will all meet at the same time and location. Each participant will then receive individual doula support during their birth experience, and a one-on-one postnatal visit. As with any other clients, I am still available for you each separately via phone or email, and any details shared with me are held in the strictest of confidence.
The full payment of $350.00 is due from each participant at the time of contract signing. This fee ensures that I reserve a place on my calendar for your estimated due date, and is non-refundable.
The Birth Buddies Doula Package is an excellent way to share the cost of a doula and prepare for birth in a fun environment, while still receiving the individual professional support you deserve. Hypnobirthing Support Package *NEW!*
I have recently had the opportunity to take part in a Hypnobirthing course, and have helped support several Hypnobirthing families since then. I've seen first-hand how certain birth hypnosis techniques can really help women release their fears and approach the entire birthing experience with a positive, calm, and confident attitude. I then continued my hypno-education by also taking part in a "Hypno-Doula" course, and plan to pursue certification as a Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula in the near future.
To show my support for calm birth, I am offering my doula package for only $595.00 to families using birth hypnosis - that's 15% off my regular fee! A discount was originally only available to the first four Hypnobirthing families that selected my doula services. Due to its popularity, however, I am extending the date; I will gladly honour this 15% discount when you sign up before the end of 2011, so contact me early to avoid disappointment!
*Please note that although I am not a Hypnobirthing Instructor, taking the Hypnobirthing and Hypno-Doula courses has allowed me an opportunity to familiarise myself with the unique needs of women using birth hypnosis and given me the tools necessary to provide adequate support that is tailored to the specific needs of the Hypnobirthing mother.
Volunteer Birth Doula Package
*Please note: Due to heavy volunteer commitments with a Perth birth support organisation (Birthrites: Healing After Caesarean - www.birthrites.org) I am no longer offering my Volunteer Birth Doula Package at this time. I may accept families on a volunteer basis again in the future, but for now I will gladly provide referrals to student doulas who can provide free/low-cost support.
Volunteer birth doula support still includes all the same benefits that a paying client would receive; three antenatal meetings together, continuous labour/birth support, and a postnatal visit. Basic details to qualify for one of my quarterly volunteer vacancies are outlined below:
Ideally, you will fit into one of these categories: teen mother (18 years of age and under), military family (you or your partner is actively serving in the armed forces), students and unemployed/low income earners (less than $20,000 combined household income).
A refundable deposit of $200.00 is due at the time of contract signing, and is returned to you on the day we have our last postnatal visit. The reason for using a refundable deposit is so that we both have an investment in the time we spend together.
I will use occasional birth photography during labour support when appropriate. This will be very discrete, and you choose how explicit photographs can be according to your own comfort level. You will receive a complete electronic copy of any photographs taken, and can select some that you may feel comfortable allowing me to share in a portfolio.
If my volunteer vacancy is filled for the quarter you are due, I still offer a sliding scale based on proof of income. Please contact me for further details.
